The Mexican Government wins the arbitration proceedings against Tele Fácil

The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (“ICSID”) has rejected the claim brought by Tele Fácil México, S.A. de C.V. (Tele Fácil) against the Mexican Government. Tele Fácil alleged that the Mexican Federal Institute of Telecommunications had hindered its prospects of entering the Mexican telecommunication market, in violation of the North American Free Trade Agreement. Lear, together with Analysys Mason, has advised the Mexican Government in the arbitration proceedings. Paolo Buccirossi, Director of Lear, acted as Expert witness and gave testimony during the oral hearing.
