Lear’s consultant Salvatore Nava travelled to Kingston, Jamaica in October to attend the inception meeting of a project aimed at drafting merger control provisions for Jamaica. The mission entailed presenting Lear’s approach to all relevant stakeholders in a series of meetings. Lear will be responsible for determining notification thresholds and filing fees, for drafting the guidelines for the assessment of the competitive effects of mergers, and for delivering training to the officials of the Jamaican competition authority.
