Nicoletta Rosati

Senior Advisor

Nicoletta joined Lear as a Senior Advisor in December 2023, where she manages research projects in the area of economics and competition policy. Nicoletta contributed for several years (2017-2023) as Senior Economic Analyst at the European Commission Joint Research Centre, providing institutional support to various Directorate Generals (CNECT, COMP, ECFIN, FISMA, GROW, TRADE) in topics related to global firms, including: cross-border investments and financial integration; FDI screening; public ownership; global value chains and industrial ecosystems; common ownership and market competition; SMEs finance.

Between 2000 and 2017 Nicoletta was a Lecturer and Researcher in Econometrics and Statistics at University College London and at the Lisbon School of Economics and Management. She was a Member of the Managing Board (2015-2017) of the Center for Applied Mathematics and Forecasting (CEMAPRE), where she has been developing research on empirical economics, public health and social sciences since 2003. She has been involved in several external projects, including statistics and econometrics training, in co-operation with industry, consultancies and institutions.

Nicoletta holds a PhD in Statistics Applied to Economic and Social Sciences from Padova University and an MSc in Economics from University College London. She speaks Italian, English and Portuguese fluently, and French at intermediate level.
