Anna Airoldi is a Senior Consultant at Lear, with expertise in competition economics, industrial organization and the economics of digital markets. She joined Lear in September 2025.
In 2023, she earned a PhD in Economics from New York University – Stern School of Business, where she specialized in applied microeconomics, industrial organization and the economics of digitization. During this time, she worked at Amazon as an Economics Intern, taught microeconomics to undergraduate and MBA students and collaborated with Prof. Petra Moser on a project on upward mobility in early 20th century US science. Prior to joining Lear, she worked as an Economist for a startup, analyzing big data on labor markets for clients and collaborating with journalists and academics working on labor markets issues.
She holds a Bachelor’s (2013) and Master’s (2016) in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University. After completing her Master’s, she was a Junior Fellow at the Bocconi IEFE Research Center, where she worked with Prof. Michele Polo on a project on the welfare effects of regulated services for Italian retail electricity consumers. During her studies, she also worked as an Econometrics Intern at the Competitions and Markets Authority in London.
