The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (ERBD) and Commission for Protection of Competition of Republic of Serbia, with the support of the Center for Liberal-Democratic Studies are jointly organizing an international conference on “Institution building of the competition authorities in South-eastern Europe”. The conference will take place in Belgrade on 2-3 June.The two-day event will discuss the design of a competition agency, its dependence on local economic and legal environment, state aid and consumer protection, the structure of the advocacy function of the competition authorities and the role of economics in competition law enforcement, alongside other topics.
Paolo Buccirossi will join two panel discussions. The first one will address “The design of a competition agency and its dependence on local economic and legal circumstances”; the second one will be focused on “Theories of harm and efficiency justifications in abuse of dominance cases”.
