Lear has been appointed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to provide technical assistance to the Egyptian Competition Authority.
As part of the project, Lear will leverage its experience in similar contexts to provide to the staff of the ECA an in-depth technical training. Moreover, Lear will cooperate with local experts to support the authority in strengthening its market monitoring function, by designing a strategy for the development of the market monitoring system already implemented by the ECA, as well as its effort in promoting competitive neutrality in the country, an important goal of the recent State Ownership Policy approved by the government.
Lear will also contribute to improving the communication of the authority’s leniency programme in Egypt, supported by a renowned communication expert.
