CAPACITY BUILDING TO THE OFFICIALS OF THE ALBANIAN COMPETITION AUTHORITY

As part of the Technical Assistance project financed by the EBRD, Lear’s team is delivering online trainings to the officials of the Albanian Competition Authority to strengthen their skills and competencies on economic aspects of competition policy. In particular, the topics of the first set of trainings to be delivered in May 2020 are on:

1. Merger Analysis, including the substantive test, the relevant market definition, the theories of harm in merger cases, horizontal and vertical mergers;
2. Econometrics, including the simple linear regression model, the multiple regression model, demand estimation and causal inference techniques; and
3. Applications with the STATA software, based on ex-post merger evaluation studies carried out by Lear.

An appropriate balance between theoretical aspects and practical applications with real world cases is provideded in all trainings.
