5th Lear Conference on the economics of competition law

“The Economics of Merger control -What we talk about when we talk about mergers”
Rome, June 27-28 2013

The Conference will gather international leading experts in the field of competition law and economics, prominent scholars and experienced practitioners to provide practical tips regarding the role of economics in the competitive assessment of mergers, in the definition of appropriate remedies and in the ex-post evaluation of merger decisions.
The aim is to provide attendees with insights and tools to take away and apply to their own work.

As well as covering the widest possible range of issues, the program will feature sessions focussed on the assessment of unilateral and coordinated effects, and on the analysis of non-horizontal mergers. Significant time will be devoted to discussion and interaction among participants.
