Lear, together with Analysys Mason, assisted three fixed telecom operators in the Slovakian telecom market in quantifying damages suffered as a consequence of an anticompetitive conduct carried out by the Slovak incumbent and ascertained by the European Commission with an infringement decision in 2015. The European Commission found that the incumbent was refusing to supply wholesale access at local loop unbundling level and squeezing the margins of its competitors at the retail level. Lear and Analysys Mason developed a benchmarking approach to quantify the damages caused by the incumbent’s abuse.
