The hotel is located in a seventeenth century convent. In 1642 the famous architect Francesco Borromini was commissioned by lady Camilla Savelli to designed this lovely building.
The distinguishing style of Borromini with his skillful use the concave and convex surfaces that welcomes the guest.
The ancient refectory, now called Gran Sala Borromini is embellished by Renaissance paintings, eighteenth-century woodwork and by a panelled ceiling. It has managed to retain many of its original features, including the beautiful fountain designed by Borromini situede at the entrance of the Sala.
