Chiara Latour is a Research Assistant at Lear. She is a third year Ph.D. student at the Department of Economics at Stockholm University. During her Ph.D. she developed interest in microeconomics, econometrics and competition economics. She performed empirical research and worked as teaching assistant for undergraduate courses in statistics and econometrics.
Currently, she is working on her Ph.D. thesis with a focus on policy advice and competition economics. Her last projects evaluate the effect of containment policies of Covid-19 in Sweden and the change of prostitution laws in several countries.
She earned a Masters in Economics at University of Tor Vergata in 2017, during which she spent one semester abroad at University of Stockholm, Sweden. Between her Ph.D. and Masters, she worked as Research Assistant at SITE (Stockholm) and EIEF (Rome) in the field of competition policy and procurement.
