Lear’s team offers a large wealth of intellectual capital. Our economists combine an in-depth knowledge of economic theory and of cutting–edge modelling and econometric techniques with industry expertise and the ability to present sophisticated economic arguments in a clear and persuasive way to a non-technical audience. In addition to full-time staff based in Rome and Brussels, our team also includes academic associates, who hold appointments at important European universities such as: the Stockholm School of Economics, University of Rome Tor Vergata, the Politecnico of Turin and the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB).

All our economists have advanced degrees in economics from top universities and they publish regularly on leading academic journals, such as the RAND Journal of Economics, the Journal of Public Economics, the European Economic Review, the Journal of Industrial Economics and Journal of Regulatory Economics. Recently, Paolo Buccirossi, Lear’s Director, has edited the MIT Press Handbook of Antitrust Economics, which includes the latest contributions in the field from some of the most prominent scholars.
