John Ratliff - Wilmerhale


John Ratliff is a partner in the Brussels office of WilmerHale. He has specialized as an advocate and adviser in EU Competition law for more than 25 years, working on a wide range of issues, including EU and worldwide merger control, cartel defence, abuse of dominance and Article 106 TFEU cases. He is also active in competition remedies through complaints and other EU representations and related national court proceedings. He has worked in a variety of industries, including energy, financial services, sport, telecoms, retail supply, metals and heavy machinery. He also does a lot of transactional advice and compliance work.

  • The merger cases of Statoil/Hydro and StatoilHydro’s acquisition of the “JET” motor fuel stations in Denmark, Norway and Sweden from ConocoPhillips.
